We went out for fish and chips the night of Gary's birthday.
Fay and Roger were also there didn't get a pic of them

october

well that went by rather fast, the month I mean. We had birthdays Roger 2nd, Dad 3rd, Ben 7th,and Gary on the 21st, plus there are numerous other rellies born in october.
The type + writer course is still waiting for me to complete.
Scrapboxx retreat at Meadowbrook 9-11, had a great time but oh so tired and didn't really get a chance to recuperate as I had a house inspection on the weds after and kids to look after. Lila's first swimming lesson on thurs15, meant that Lila and I missed seeing Ella win her running race at school, her first ever.
It was such a relief to be able to scrap in peace at Viv's on the Friday. Have been entering into some scrapbooking sketch challenges on the scrapboxx website. I even won one week.

today while Viv scrapbooked I was on my laptop creating digital swap cards for her and Channyn, took ages and I am pleased with the result. Picked John up on the way home, and caught up with the girls too.
It is Rogers birthday today and Dads tomorrow, Bens next Wednesday. I could go on, so many between now and the last day of the year which is Jasmines.
Next weekend is the Scrapboxx retreat, woo hoo.
The layout is one I've done recently although the photo is from 2005.

Digital scrapping

Wednesday

I have slacked off with Type+writer, I think that I have a bit of burn out from doing so many classes one after the other. So I am taking a few days break from it all, the beauty of JS classes is that they are up indefinitely.
Jen Hall is offering Octoberfest again this year but only for 15 days, I have registered for it as I am missing paper scrapping. See how I feel after next weekend's retreat.
Maddy slept over last night, it was lovely to have her here this morning, reading to her in bed while we had a cuppa.
After G picked her up I had my hair trimmed, then came back here and finally cleaned my house to my satisfaction.
Got my pics printed to make my retreat swap cards, only 9 days to go woo hoo.
Spoke to Annie today (Dunsborough), Ella went horse riding, Lila loved beach combing and Curtis has run out of food so could I go buy him some.

sunday

Another Sunny day. My turn to make the morning cup of tea, which we drink in bed while reading. This morning we decided to go to Wellington Dam as it is overflowing. It seems to have been a popular idea, people everywhere. Took some photos of the dam and the overflow, watched a man abseil down the side of the quarry, took a few more photos and headed home. on the way home we called into see the Howard's, Maddy excitedly showed us her new sleeping bag and insisted on demonstrating her trampolining ability. She is such fun and can be very full on.
Tackled the weeds in the front garden and got rid of most along the driveway except for the couch which I will spray the next fine day. Rain is forecast for tomorrow and tuesday at least.

long time since I blogged

No point in trying to catch up on the year, I have been keeping a journal for that. Now that I am doing so much digital stuff especially at Jessica Sprague.com. , I though I would resurrect my blog.
It is now the last weekend in September, how the year has flown by.
Today was the AFL grand final and Geelong beat St Kilda. it was a hard fought match and anyone's game right up to the last few minutes.
it has rained nearly every day this month, and today is a lovely sunny spring day, so much to appreciate, so much weeding to be done, so much to enjoy outside.
Tonight we are going to a 70th birthday celebration, and I have some new clothes to wear. i really needed to update my wardrobe. I have been spending money on scrap booking and not much else lately. Also need some new swimwear, eek!
I am loving the current type+writer course at JS that I am currently enrolled in, challenging and very rewarding.
Now I had better get dressed for the big night.

W.W.

well i went back to weight watchers after falling seriously off the wagon. not as bad as I thought but not good either.
One of my main goals for this year is to improve my health and losing weight is a biggy, as my blood pressure is high and i have been on meds for a year now.
Also Gary and I walked along the beach this evening, very nice.

Ella

We took Ella to Perth on Monday, as we were going to pick up the trailer Gary was buying, however that fell through.
Ella got to meet her new little cousin Jasmine. She was having fun playing with Stacey and didn't come with us to Ikea. Finally I got my shelving for my craft room.
Later on the way home we called in to see Ella's other grandparents in Mandurah.
Then it was McDonalds on the way home so Ella was a happy little girl. She does insist that it is called mick donalds.
On the subject of Ella her fav joke she tells everyone is.......
Why does the cow cross the road?
because she wants to go to the moooovies

Saturday

today I went with Georgina to choose a new bed, finally she got one after trying out quite a few now I want one.
Got some photos of our new little one printed, will take some for her parents when we got up there on Monday.
We invited the Huttons and the Howards for a bbq. I was telling Annie about taking Lila out to Aristos for fish and chips on new years eve. The next day we took her with us to perth to see the baby for the first time. On the way home we had Hungry Jacks for dinner and called in to see Di and Reg in Mandurah. Ella was listening to this and she wants to do everything we did with Lila so we are taking her with us to Perth on monday when we pick up the trailer.
Belinda and Jasmine came home today.

Thursday 1 January 2009

she has a name

Gary, Lila and I went to visit Ben and Belinda and the new baby girl at St John of God hospital Murdoch.
They still hadn't decided on a name for her when we left. By the time we got to the Opies house in Mandurah they had chosen to name her Jasmine Amelia. I am happy with their choice.

Today was the first day of "the write stuff" a month long on line scrapbooking course I have taken. Day one is about goals for 2009.
